For the quickest search, just use the default options, type your
search term and go. You can also modify the search parameters.
Match
All - All of the words in the
search field matched in the retrieved documents.
Any - Any of the words in the
search field matched in the retrieved documents.
Boolean - Explicit Boolean search using
AND/OR/NOT and parentheses to define the query. Examples of
correct expressions are: "cat AND dog," "cat NOT
dog," "cat OR (dog NOT nose)." Note that the
operator NOT has the meaning "without."
Format
Long - Displays the titles, relevant
excerpt text, date of last modification and size of the
matching pages.
Short - Displays just the page titles.
Sort by
Score - Display according to score
calculated by search engine, based on search word position,
frequency of occurrence, etc. Sort from highest score to
lowest score.
Time - Display according to
modification time. Sort from most recent time to oldest time.
Title - Display according to
title. Sort alphabetically. Note that documents that do not
have a title (i.e. non-HTML documents) are listed first, with
the name of the file enclosed in square brackets.
Reverse Score - Display according to
score calculated by search engine, based on search word
position, frequency of occurrence, etc. Sort from lowest score
to highest score.
Reverse Time - Display according to
modification time. Sort from most oldest time to most recent
time.
Reverse Title - Display according to
title. Sort in reverse alphabetical order. Note that documents
that do not have a title (i.e. non-HTML documents) are listed
last, with the name of the file enclosed in square brackets.
Miscellaneous
Stars - Stars next to a search result
indicate relative relevance of the match. The maximum number
of stars used is five.
